Muzaffarpur 15 February: लंगट सिंह कॉलेज के फारसी विभाग के सहायक प्राध्यापक डॉ. सैयद नकी अब्बास (कैफी) को फारसी भाषा एवं साहित्य में उल्लेखनीय योगदान के लिए ईरान सरकार के प्रतिष्ठित “सादी एवार्ड” से विभूषित किया गया है. डॉ कैफ़ी की उपलब्धि पर बधाई देते हुए लंगट सिंह कॉलेज के प्राचार्य प्रो ओमप्रकाश राय ने कहा की लंगट सिंह कॉलेज के फारसी विभाग की समृद्ध विरासत रही है तथा वर्ष 1927 में फारसी भाषा को लोकप्रिय बनाने हेतु बज्म ए फारसी सोसायटी के गठन से संबंधित कागजात कॉलेज लाइब्रेरी में मौजूद है.
Dr. Syed Naqi Abbas (Kaifi), Assistant Professor, Department of Persian, Langat Singh College, has been awarded the prestigious “Sa’adi Award” by the Government of Iran for his remarkable contribution to Persian language and literature. Congratulating Dr. Kaifi on his achievement, Prof. Omprakash Rai, Principal of Langat Singh College, said that the Persian department of Langat Singh College has a rich heritage and documents related to the formation of Bazm-e-Persian Society in the year 1927 to popularize the Persian language. प्रो राय ने कहा भारत में अंग्रेजों के आगमन से पहले फारसी सरकारी कामकाज की मुख्य भाषा रही थी तथा फ़ारसी के ऐतिहासिक प्रभाव के साक्ष्य भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप की कुछ भाषाओं पर इसके प्रभाव की सीमा में देखा जा सकता है. उन्होंने कहा यह एवार्ड डॉ. कैफी के लिये प्रेरक का कार्य करेगा और वे फारसी साहित्य के क्षेत्र में उल्लेखनीय योगदान देते रहेंगे.
Prof. Rai said that before the advent of the British in India, Persian was the main language of official work and evidence of the historical influence of Persian can be seen in the extent of its influence on some languages of the Indian subcontinent. He said that this award will act as a motivator for Dr. Kaifi and he will continue to make a remarkable contribution in the field of Persian literature.

डॉ. कैफी ने जवाहरलाल नेहरू विश्वविद्यालय से फारसी साहित्य में स्नातकोत्तर एवं पी-एच. डी. की उपाधियाँ प्राप्त करने के पश्चात् संस्कृति मन्त्रालय, केन्द्र सरकार की प्रतिष्ठित “टैगोर नेशनल स्कॉलरशिप” भी सफलतापूर्वक सम्पन्न की है और अब तक उनकी फारसी शायरी के कई संग्रह भारत और ईरान से प्रकाशित हो चुके हैं.
Dr. Kaifi did his Masters in Persian Literature from Jawaharlal Nehru University and Ph.D. After receiving the degrees of D. Ministry of Culture, the prestigious “Tagore National Scholarship” of the Central Government has also been successfully completed and so far many collections of his Persian poetry have been published from India and Iran.

ईरान सरकार के संस्कृति विभाग द्वारा दिया जाने वाला ये अवार्ड डॉ. कैफी को दिल्ली के ईरान कल्चर हाउस में 7 फरवरी को आयोजित एक भव्य समारोह में प्रदान किया गया. डॉ कैफ़ी को इस अवार्ड के लिए बधाई देने वालो में मुख्यरुप से प्रो. टी.के. डे, प्रो. राजीव कुमार, डॉ. ललित किशोर, डॉ. नवीन कुमार, डॉ. कुमार बलवंत, डॉ. इम्तियाज, डॉ. हफीज आदि शामिल रहे.
This award, given by the Department of Culture, Government of Iran, was presented to Dr. Kaifi at a grand ceremony held on February 7 at the Iran Culture House in Delhi. Dr. T.K. Day, Prof. Rajeev Kumar, Dr. Lalit Kishore, Dr. Naveen Kumar, Dr. Kumar Balwant, Dr. Imtiaz, Dr. Hafeez etc. congratulated Dr. Kaifi for this award.
