Veteran Virat Kohli scored a century in ODIs after almost 40 months, but his batting glow faded slightly in front of Ishan Kishan’s aggressive innings of 210 runs in 131 balls. Ishan hit 24 fours and 10 sixes and scored 156 runs from the boundary. Kohli hit 11 fours and two sixes in 91 balls.

Ishan Kishan completed his double century in 126 balls, which is the fastest double century in ODIs. Earlier this record in men’s cricket was in the name of Chris Gayle. He completed a 138-ball double century against Zimbabwe in the 2015 World Cup.

Ishan also became the youngest batsman to score a double century in this format. He completed his double century at the age of 24 years and 145 days.This is India’s fourth highest score in ODIs. Virat Kohli became the player to score the most centuries after Sachin.
