Muzaffarpur 23 September : B.R.A. Bihar University के मनोविज्ञान विभाग द्वारा आयोजित अंतरराष्ट्रीय कार्यशाला में Prof. Marta Milani, यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ़ वेरोना, इटली ने अंतर सांस्कृतिक दक्षता के महत्व पर छात्रों व शिक्षकों को संबोधित किया। इस अवसर पर कुलपति डॉ. दिनेश चंद्र राय समेत कई शिक्षाविद उपस्थित रहे।

बीआर अंबेडकर बिहार विश्वविद्यालय के मनोविज्ञान विभाग के तत्वावधान में “अंतर सांस्कृतिक दक्षता” पर विश्वविद्यालय अतिथिशाला में आयोजित अंतर्राष्ट्रीय कार्यशाला में यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ़ वेरोना, इटली की Prof. Marta Milani ने शिक्षकों एवं छात्रों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि अंतर सांस्कृतिक दक्षता सामाजिक एवं मानवीय समरसता हेतु एक मूल्यवान संपत्ति है। अंतर सांस्कृतिक क्षमता विभिन्न संस्कृतियों के लोगों के साथ प्रभावी ढंग से जुड़ने और उनके साथ बातचीत करने की कला है। इसमें ज्ञान, कौशल और दृष्टिकोण का संयोजन शामिल होता है।

यह सांस्कृतिक मतभेदों को समझने, सांस्कृतिक अपेक्षाओं के अनुरूप व्यवहार करने और विविध समाजों में शांति और सहिष्णुता को बढ़ावा देने में मदद करता है। इसके साथ ही यह दूसरों के दृष्टिकोण को समझने, सांस्कृतिक रूप से प्रासंगिक और प्रभावी संचार करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाता है। मानव के अंदर सांस्कृतिक भिन्नताओं को स्वीकार करते हुए लचीलापन और सहानुभूति की भावना विकसित होती है।
उन्होंने अंतर सांस्कृतिक क्षमता के प्रमुख तत्व ज्ञान, कौशल, दृष्टिकोण, प्रभावी संचार, सांस्कृतिक संवेदनशीलता, शांति, लचीलापन और अनुकूलन पर विस्तार से बताया।
विभागाध्यक्ष डॉ रजनीश कुमार गुप्ता ने प्रो मार्टा मिलानी को अंगवस्त्र एवं पुष्पगुच्छ देकर स्वागत किया। अपने उद्बोधन में बताया कि हमारी तेजी से जुड़ती और वैश्वीकृत होती दुनिया में, अंतर्सांस्कृतिक दक्षता का महत्व दिन प्रतिदिन बढ़ता जा रहा है।
यह मूलतः विभिन्न संस्कृतियों के बीच प्रभावी ढंग से संवाद करने और विभिन्न सांस्कृतिक पृष्ठभूमि के लोगों के साथ काम करने की क्षमता है। आज का अंतरराष्ट्रीय वर्कशॉप शैक्षिक जगत में मील का पत्थर साबित होगा। इस वर्कशॉप से शिक्षकों एवं छात्रों में अंतर सांस्कृतिक दक्षता को समझने और विकसित करने का अवसर प्राप्त हुआ है।
अंतर्राष्ट्रीय वर्कशॉप का उद्घाटन करते हुए कुलपति डॉ दिनेश चंद्र राय ने कहा कि इटली से आए प्रो मार्टा मिलानी की उपस्थिति व सहभागिता से मनोविज्ञान विभाग के साथ-साथ विश्वविद्यालय को एक ग्लोबल एकेडमिक पहचान मिली है। इसके लिए प्रो रजनीश कुमार गुप्ता समेत विभाग के सभी प्रतिभाशाली शिक्षक एवं छात्र धन्यवाद के पात्र हैं।
अंतर सांस्कृतिक दक्षता विषय पर आयोजित कार्यशाला में छात्रों ने विभिन्न सांस्कृतिक समूह से बातचीत करने, सांस्कृतिक पूर्वाग्रहों को पहचानने, सहयोगात्मक कार्य और सीखने की अपनी क्षमता को बढ़ाने का अवसर प्राप्त किया है। Prof. Marta Milani ने छात्रों के जिज्ञासा को अच्छी तरह अपने तर्कपूर्ण जवाबों से शांत किया।
कार्यशाला में विभागाध्यक्ष डॉ रजनीश कुमार गुप्ता, पूर्व विभागाध्यक्ष प्रो आभा रानी सिन्हा, डॉ विकास कुमार, कार्यक्रम समन्वयक डॉ तूलिका सिंह, डॉ सुनीता कुमारी समेत पैट 22 के शोधार्थियों ने भाग लिया।

English Translation of the Press Release
Under the aegis of the Department of Psychology, B.R. Ambedkar Bihar University, an international workshop on “Intercultural Competence” was organized at the University Guest House. Addressing teachers and students, Prof. Marta Milani from the University of Verona, Italy, said that intercultural competence is a valuable asset for social and human harmony. Intercultural competence is the art of effectively engaging and interacting with people from diverse cultures. It involves a combination of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. It helps in understanding cultural differences, adapting behavior according to cultural expectations, and promoting peace and tolerance in diverse societies. Along with this, it plays an important role in understanding others’ perspectives and communicating in a culturally relevant and effective manner. Accepting cultural differences fosters flexibility and empathy within individuals.
She elaborated on the key elements of intercultural competence such as knowledge, skills, attitudes, effective communication, cultural sensitivity, peace, flexibility, and adaptability.
Head of the Department, Dr. Rajneesh Kumar Gupta, welcomed Prof. Marta Milani with a traditional shawl and bouquet. In his address, he emphasized that in today’s rapidly connecting and globalized world, the importance of intercultural competence is increasing day by day. Essentially, it is the ability to communicate effectively across cultures and work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. He said that today’s international workshop will prove to be a milestone in the academic world. Through this workshop, teachers and students have gained an opportunity to understand and develop intercultural competence.
Inaugurating the international workshop, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Dinesh Chandra Rai said that the presence and participation of Prof. Marta Milani from Italy has given not only the Department of Psychology but also the University a global academic recognition. For this, Prof. Rajneesh Kumar Gupta along with all the talented teachers and students of the department deserve appreciation.
During the workshop on intercultural competence, students got the opportunity to interact with various cultural groups, recognize cultural biases, enhance their ability for collaborative work, and expand their learning. Prof. Marta Milani responded to the curiosity of students with well-reasoned and thoughtful answers.
The workshop was attended by Head of Department Dr. Rajneesh Kumar Gupta, former Head Prof. Abha Rani Sinha, Dr. Vikas Kumar, Program Coordinator Dr. Tulika Singh, Dr. Sunita Kumari, along with research scholars of batch 2022.
