Doha 23 November : The Argentine team, which had been unbeaten for 36 consecutive matches, suffered a severe blow to their hopes of winning the title in the very first match of the FIFA World Cup football, when they were defeated 2–1 by Saudi Arabia. Argentina, who took the lead after Messi’s goal in Group-C, could not show the best game in the second half.
