New Delhi 20 May : भारतीय मुक्केबाज निखत जरीन ने विश्व बॉक्सिंग के फाइनल में थाईलैंड की जिटपोंग जुटामास को 5-0 से हराकर महिला विश्व चैंपियनशिप का खिताब जीता. महिला विश्व चैंपियनशिप में गोल्ड जीतने वाली पांचवीं भारतीय मुक्केबाज बनी है.

2019 एशियाई चैंपियनशिप की कांस्य पदक विजेता जरीन विश्व चैंपियन बनने वाली पांचवीं भारतीय महिला मुक्केबाज हैं. निखत जरीन ने इस्तांबुल में महिला विश्व चैंपियनशिप के फ्लाइट वेट 52 किलोग्राम वर्ग के एकतरफा फाइनल में थाईलैंड की जुटामास को 5-0 से हराकर विश्व चैंपियन चैंपियन बानी. तेलंगाना के मुक्केबाज ने पूरे टूर्नामेंट के दौरान प्रतिद्वंदी के ऊपर हावी रहीं. एक भी सेट नहीं हारी. जुटामास की अच्छी शुरुआत के बाद जरीन हावी हो गई और फिर फिर गोल्ड मेडल हासिल किया.
