Triumph Speed 400 – After launching Internationally, The Triumph Speed 400 has now been launched in India. The Triumph Speed 400 comes with a price tag of Rs 2.33 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Triumph is a high-end product that combines quality and affordability to provide customers with exceptional value as stated by Bajaj Auto MD Rajiv Bajaj on 5th July in an interview. According to him, it cost roughly Rs 200 crore to build the new Triumph production facility at Chakan in Pune.
Specifications
These two brand-new entry-level Triumph bikes are each powered by a 398cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that cranks out 40 horsepower at 8,000 revolutions per minute and 37.5 Nm of torque at 6,500. The TR-series, a brand-new engine, is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
Design
The design of Triumph Speed and Scrambler bikes is inspired by the larger models. Despite their relatively affordable price, the fit and finish of both bikes exude a premium feel. bikes come with digital-analog display.

Speed
The Triumph Speed 400 rides on 17-inch alloy rims at both ends, fitted with MRF Steel Brace rubber instead of the premium Metzeler or Pirelli tires seen in international launch. Some Triumph bikes were also seen with Apollo Alpha H1 rubber, so it remains to be seen which tire option will be available for customer bikes, or if both will be off.
Price
The Triumph Speed 400 is priced at Rs 2.33 lakh, which is significantly less than its competitors, including the KTM 390 Duke (Rs 2.97 lakh), BMW G 310 R (Rs 2.85 lakh), and RE Interceptor 650 (Rs 3.03 lakh–Rs 3.31 lakh).Both motorcycles have a 2-year, unlimited-mileage warranty and need servicing every 16,000 kilometers. The will go on sale in late July, while the Scrambler 400 X won’t come out until later in October.
