Kuala Lumpur 18 August : On Thursday, August 17, 2023, Malaysian Charter Plane Crash on the Kuala Lumpur Expressway, killing at least 10 people, according to reports.

According to the Malaysian Civil Aviation Authority, the aircraft departed from Langkawi International Airport and was en route to Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport. On board were two flight attendants and six passengers.

According to accounts from the area, the jet collided with a motorcycle and a car that were both carrying one person each. Johari Harun, a 54-year-old Pahang state assemblyman who was running as a new Barisan Nasional candidate in the general election last year, was one of the collision casualties, according to the Transport Ministry.


“A landing clearance was given at 2:48 PM after the aircraft made its initial contact with the Subang ATC tower at 2:47 PM local time (6:47 AM ET).
. The Control Tower noticed smoke coming from the crash location around 2.51 p.m. local time, but the aircraft did not send a mayday call, according to a statement from the civil aviation authorities.

According to Selangor Police Chief Hussein Omar Khan, forensic workers are currently gathering the remains and will transport them to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang for a post-mortem examination and identification process.

Khan stated that an accident inquiry would be carried out by the military ministry of transportation.
