79वीं सीनियर नेशनल एक्वाटिक चैंपियनशिप 2026 में भारतीय तैराकी को एक नया कीर्तिमान मिला है। कर्नाटक की युवा तैराक Dhinidhi Desinghu ने महिला 100 मीटर फ्रीस्टाइल स्पर्धा में 56.57 सेकंड का समय निकालकर नया राष्ट्रीय रिकॉर्ड कायम किया। 16 से 21 जून तक अहमदाबाद के वीर सावरकर स्विमिंग पूल में आयोजित इस प्रतिष्ठित प्रतियोगिता में उनका प्रदर्शन भारतीय तैराकी इतिहास के सबसे यादगार पलों में शामिल हो गया है।

महिला 100 मीटर फ्रीस्टाइल को तैराकी की सबसे प्रतिष्ठित स्पर्धाओं में माना जाता है। ऐसे में धिनिधि ने न केवल स्वर्ण पदक अपने नाम किया, बल्कि पहली भारतीय महिला बनकर 57 सेकंड की बाधा को भी पार किया। उनका यह रिकॉर्ड भारतीय तैराकी के लिए एक नए युग की शुरुआत माना जा रहा है।

प्रतियोगिता के फाइनल में Dhinidhi Desinghu ने अपने निकटतम प्रतिद्वंद्वियों को काफी पीछे छोड़ दिया। कर्नाटक की ही रुजुला एस. ने 58.24 सेकंड के साथ रजत पदक जीता, जबकि असम की जाह्नवी कश्यप 58.27 सेकंड के समय के साथ कांस्य पदक हासिल करने में सफल रहीं। धिनिधि और दूसरे स्थान के बीच 1.67 सेकंड का अंतर इस स्पर्धा में उनकी स्पष्ट श्रेष्ठता को दर्शाता है।

Indian swimming witnessed a historic milestone at the 79th Senior National Aquatic Championship 2026 as Karnataka’s rising star Dhinidhi Desinghu set a new national record in the Women’s 100m Freestyle event. Clocking an impressive 56.57 seconds, she became the first Indian woman to break the 57-second barrier, marking a significant achievement for the sport in the country.

The championship, being held from June 16 to 21 at the Veer Savarkar Swimming Pool in Ahmedabad, provided the perfect stage for Desinghu’s remarkable performance. Her record-breaking swim not only earned her the gold medal but also established a new benchmark in Indian women’s swimming.
